| Alter resource mailbox to show future schedules |
| |
If you use Outlook 2002 to automatically schedule company resources (e.g., conference rooms, audio/visual equipment), you may notice that the conference room only shows availability information for a couple of months in advance.
This is because, by default, that resource mailbox only publishes three months of Free/Busy information. If you need to change that, create an Outlook profile that uses that resource's mailbox, then log in to Outlook 2002 with that profile.
Once you've logged in, click Tools | Options | Calendar Options | Free/Busy Options, and you should see the setting that controls how much Free/Busy information is published. Set it to six months or 12 months, as you like. There are some minor performance and disk space penalties for increasing this duration, but they should be pretty nominal.
The same limitation applies to coworkers' mailboxes. You can ask them to change their setting for their own calendars in the same manner. |
