| More drag options in Outlook 2002 |
| |
Most users know that they can drag an e-mail message to the Tasks folder and have Outlook create a task item based on that message, or drag a Contact item into the Inbox and have Outlook create a mail message addressed to that contact. But there are even more options if your users are running Outlook 2002.
If you drag a Contact item to the Inbox, you'll get a context menu that asks if you want to address a message to the contact (the traditional behavior) or if you want to start a new e-mail message and include the contact item as text, as an attachment, or as a shortcut. These are great options if, for example, if you wanted to e-mail a contact item to someone without retyping it.
Dragging an e-mail item to the Calendar presents you with another context menu; this one offers to create an appointment item with that e-mail message as text, create a shortcut in the Inbox to the original item, or use it as an attachment. |
